The Manicaland Agricultural Show 2025 gave the Deposit Protection Corporation (DPC) a valuable opportunity to connect with farmers, families, and students — highlighting the importance of financial inclusion and deposit protection. Many attendees came from rural and marginalized communities, and our conversations helped bridge the gap between formal financial systems and those previously excluded.
We focused on raising financial awareness and building trust in the banking sector. Through clear, engaging discussions, we explained how DPC protects deposits, helping people feel more confident about saving and using formal financial services. These interactions also revealed key barriers to inclusion, such as limited banking infrastructure, low financial literacy, and mistrust of financial institutions.
Understanding these challenges is essential as we continue to refine our outreach and collaborate with stakeholders. The show was a reminder of the power of education and empathy in building a financially inclusive Zimbabwe. We’re grateful to everyone who visited our stand and shared their stories.
